ABOUT THE ROLE
You will elevate CannonDesign’s level of BIM maturity and focus on constant improvement, development, standardization, support, and education to drive efficiency, increased productivity and innovation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist project teams with BIM project execution planning at project kickoff and project milestones.
- Generate, implement, and monitor project specific BIM requirements as outlined in Projects’ BIM Execution Plan(s).
- Design BIM Collaboration Strategy for CannonDesigners and external collaborators.
- Coordinate model importing, exporting, and sharing between discipline model managers.
- Ability to work at a quick pace and manage parallel model and content development activities by a diverse team composed of internal and external members.
- Create initial Revit model(s) and central file(s) and lead digital project startup.
- Advise and help define Level of Development/Detail for deliverables.
- Author and implement standard workflows and processes.
- Identify and assist in creating content to enhance our digital assets and detail libraries.
- Design and deliver BIM best practices and functionality education to project teams, including Revit and related a design applications ecosystem.
- Champion the 'I' in BIM to leverage data collection and query for purposes of design intelligence, optimization, automation, simulation, and downstream exploration for artificial intelligence.
- Implement and monitor modeling standards, including those outlined in the Integrated Modeling Guidelines as well as the correct use of view templates, worksets, parameters, shared coordinates, object styles, families, file management, and naming conventions.
- Perform regular model health audits, maintenance activities and archiving
- Serve as primary point of contact for all BIM-related questions regarding scope of work.
- Administer BIM 360 site (if applicable).
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Associate degree in Architecture, Engineering and/or Interior Design or related degree preferred.
- Knowledge of all aspects of projects including planning through project close out.
- Experience in BIM management of large, multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong attention to detail, presentation, client engagement, team building, and organizational skills are essential.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills.
- Experience training others in the design, delivery, and use of BIM.
- Strong technical knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks. Additional proficiency with other Design Applications a plus.
- Knowledge of the Dynamo, Grasshopper needed. Revit API is preferred.

The salary range for this position to be filled in the New York City office is $70,000 to $80,000 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
