Our Hospitality Training Specialist will work across the portfolio of resorts, retreats, health clubs, and spas to drive operational excellence and efficiencies in all aspects of the operations. The Specialist is an experienced multi-discipline individual who can quickly adapt to varying environments and complexities in managing the execution of all operations including stepping in and performing cross-functional on-property support (Task Force). Reporting to the Process Excellence Manager, the Specialist will focus on supporting cross-functional initiatives that elevate the guest experience to the highest levels consistently at each location.
You will primarily focus on four significant areas – Monitoring the Guest Experiences, Operational Training, Deployment of Operational Initiatives, and Cross-Functional on-property support (Task Force).

You will primarily focus on four significant areas – Monitoring the Guest Experiences, Operational Training, Deployment of Operational Initiatives, and Cross-Functional on-property support (Task Force).
This role will be instrumental in supporting the operational standards that will serve as the foundation from which Canyon Ranch will continue to grow. As new destinations are opened, you will work closely with the Process Excellence Manager and Senior Director of Resort Operations to deploy these standards into new properties as well as ensure that teams are well supported and trained.
To achieve this, you will spend time at each destination to work with teams to understand their operations, identify operational opportunities, and elevate corrective actions to the Process Excellence Manager and Senior Director of Resort Operations.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A COLLEAGUE
- Operational Training: Develop, implement, and lead an operational-based training program across all locations to enhance guest services. This includes classroom training for departmental groups within the property to interpret the Canyon Ranch standards for all operational functions.
- Deployment of Operational Initiatives: Work with our Senior Director of Resort Operations and Process Excellence Manager in the development and deployment of new operational initiatives that will impact operations, guest engagement, and future development. This includes preparing plans, analyzing data, and creating process review packets.
- Cross-functional on-property support (Task Force): With transformation and growth, there will be properties that will need support as new hires are coming on board or relocation of key employees to support property openings.
- Process Consultations: Perform reviews and consultations of assigned procedures and identifies opportunities to gain efficiency and cost savings by enhancing the current process or building a new one. This includes preparing plans, analyzing data, and creating process review packets.
- Step into situations to fill the gaps in the operations of our resorts, retreats, health clubs, and spas as identified by leadership. This includes preparing plans, analyzing data, and creating process review packets.
- Travel 50-75% to our properties regularly
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Must have prior knowledge of position/industry with 3 years of previous experience in same or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Possess professional level facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated experience providing exemplary guest service.
- Possess strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Possess a dynamic and effective training style.
- Six Sigma certification a plus
