ALL ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE PHARMACY STUDENT ARE PERFORMED UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF A PHARMACIST.

  • Obtains and verifies medications for distribution to the patient care units.
  • Distributes medications to the patient care units.
  • Orders medications from various suppliers.
  • Prepares parenteral products
  • Maintains the medication inventory; place orders in stock.
  • Performs other duties as directed/requested.
  • Two or three years of occupationally specific training beyond high school or an Associates’ Degree.

Purpose of Position

Prepares, dispenses and controls medications and other pharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable Federal, State, professional standards and laws, Joint Commission recommendations and hospital standards, policies and procedures.

Per Diem Hrs, Rot Days/Eves, 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, 11a-7p, 3p-11p, Rot Weekends & Occ Holidays
