What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician, Certified, Long Term Care position at Cape Fear Long Term Care Pharmacy LLC?
We are seeking a certified pharmacy technician with experience in the long term care industry that possesses exceptional customer service and computer skills.
- Monday-Friday 9am-6pm
- Saturday/Sunday 12pm-4pm rotating weekends
- Some holidays required
- Pay $13-18 per hour depending on experience
- Background check and drug screen required

Responsibilities and Duties
- Data Entry of patient/facility information and prescription orders
- Customer service i.e. answering calls and processing requests
- Claims Auditing
- Daily filling of medication orders
- Prescription fulfillment (i.e. various packaging with single dose and multi-dose systems)
- Inventory management
- Staging items for delivery
- Other duties inherent to pharmacy operations or as assigned
Required Skills
- Typing and data entry
- Computer, email, fax and scan knowledge
- Ability to quickly adapt to computer systems and other technology
- Knowledge of third party insurance billing and proper adjudication
- Knowledge of medication administration records
- Knowledge of document management systems
- Knowledge of long term care pharmacy operations
- Proper telephone etiquette
Experience
- 1-2 years in a related field of pharmacy
- Long term care experience preferred
Professional Licenses/Certifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred (CPhT)
