Cape Henry Collegiate is seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Dance Instructor to help us continue to build a strong performing arts program.

- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons to students of different skill levels.
- Provide instruction in various dance styles, ensuring a well-rounded dance education experience.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate both technique and artistic expression.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and creativity in dance activities.
- Assess students' dance abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Implement strategies to address individual learning needs.
- Create and teach choreography for school performances, assemblies, or other events.
- Collaborate with students to showcase their talents and build confidence.
- Commit to 20 hours / week of instruction, specific schedule to be determined based on school needs.
Background and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in dance, education, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a dance instructor with a focus on teaching students of various age groups.
- Knowledge of different dance styles and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
