Cape Regional Physician Associates is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County.  Cape Regional Physicians Associates with over 60 primary care providers and specialists, delivering services in multiple locations throughout Cape May County.

Short Description

• Train and monitor the skills of new and existing Medical Assistants in the following:
  • Properly identify and prepare the patient and explain procedures. Maintains patient privacy during testing.
  • Perform routine EKG procedures in accordance with the American Heart Association standards and department policies.
  • Obtains current patient information including but not limited to;  vital signs, height, weight, specimens, allergies, reason for visit, chief complaint, medical history updates, and medication changes, and records
  • Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing, faxing, reception, etc., as requested by a supervisor or physician.

Education and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Performance of EKG required
• Current CPR certification required
• Certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration by the American Medical Technologist, or equivalency
• 3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting, preferred
