Position Purpose
Capital Bank is searching for a Fraud Associate to join our OpenSky credit card division. The main function of the Fraud Associate is to monitor and evaluate incoming documents to aid in the identify verification of OpenSky applicants as part of our Customer Identification Program (CIP).
Position Responsibilities
- Review and decision items in the Documents Received queue
- Review and decision items in the Manual Review work queue, as assigned
- Follow all procedures and complete work within specified timeframes
- Make sound decisions and escalate when needed
- Identify and report trends and patterns
- Cross train in other department functions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- 0-2 years of experience in transaction analysis, fraud detection or similar position
- 0-2 years of experience in banking or financial services
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Detailed oriented: decisive, logical and critical thinker
- Self-starter and independent individual
- Works very well with others in a team environment
- Flexible- able to accept and act on a project or task efficiently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
