Job Summary:
The Auditor will work closely with other audit staff and external auditors to perform the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations to ensure strong controls are in place and Encore Bank is operating effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:

Analyzing and evaluating documentation from various departments to conduct control tests to determine effectiveness

Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process

Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
-
Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
-
Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
-
Use best practices to conduct high quality audits with professionalism, competence, due professional care, independence, and integrity

Ability to maintain the strictest of confidentiality
-
Perform effective risk and control assessments for assigned audit areas

Complete audits on time and with high degree of accuracy

Propose strategies to improve efficiency and compliance within the organization

Align risk-based audit procedures to strategies, objectives and risks of the organization
-
Promote and encourage audit team to leverage technology and become proficient on various technology/systems to audit smarter, not harder

Demonstrate quality and continuous improvement

Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Promote organizational improvement by being insightful, proactive and future-focused

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

1-2 years audit experience preferred

FDICIA/SOX experience a plus

Self-starter and ability to work independently/remotely

Ability to work in-office as needed

Organized and detailed

Ability to manage large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
- Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

Proficient in MS Office

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Exceptional level of attention to detail and analytical skills

Time management principles to prioritize tasks

Basic data entry skills

Excellent communication skills.
