We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated, skilled, and engaging professional to fill an OB/Coordinator position in our busy OB/GYN practice.
Schedule: Full Time, Mon- Fri
Location: Rockville, MD
Pay & Benefits: Commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, the benefits package includes paid major holidays, vacation/sick time, health & dental insurance, and 401(k)
Primary Duties Include:
· Interact with patients and visitors in a positive, warm, caring, and friendly manner
· Documentation in electronic health records
· Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide referrals
· Print OB schedules and complete all OB authorizations/benefits for all procedures/ultrasounds/injections
· Complete all necessary OB paperwork on all Pregnancy Confirmation/New OB patients and call them to inform them of benefits and the amount due for Pregnancy Confirmation visit and New OB visit update patient records
· Able to multi-task and handle front desk, Patient check-in/out as needed
· Able to schedule ultrasound and get authorizations and preapprovals for pregnant patient.
· Responds to patient billing and insurance inquiries as relates to obstetrics contracts and facilitates resolution of financial issues promptly
· Coordinates the financial process to include verification and documentation of insurance benefits as relates to maternity and provides patient education in regards to insurance requirements/patient financial obligations. Demonstrates competence with the collection process
· Responsible for end of day charge ticket preparation as needed

Requirements:
· Medical terminology and coding skills highly preferred
· Experience working as a team member in a healthcare environment
· Minimum 3 years OB/GYN medical office experience
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to perform multiple tasks in a busy medical office environment.
· Pleasant and outgoing personality
· Strong attention to detail
· Professional appearance and communication style
· High volume practice experience
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Adaptable, proactive and quality-focused
- A desire towards excellence in performance is required
· Computer proficiency - word, excel, outlook
· NextGen experience a PLUS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent or technical school certificate required.
