Opportunity Overview
With a core focus on upselling and renewal of existing clients, the Account Manager oversees a substantial book of existing business for which they own optimization, upsell, and renewal responsibilities. They will be a close collaborator to our new business team members post-close and have a strong influence over the advancement and growth of the wider Capitol B portfolio. Serving high-value, comprehensive agency relationships, strategic partnerships, and executing strategic marketing campaigns, the Account Manager is a multidisciplinary leader who leverages strong business acumen, relationship building skills, and a high level of creative confidence to help our clients achieve uncommon success.
Summary of Job Duties
45% of time will be spent on objective 1. 45% on objective 2. 10% on objective 3.
Collaborate with manager and peers to steward and assess client needs and develop winning upsell and renewal proposals.
Manage and grow existing client relationships through consistent check-ins, reporting, optimization, and cross-functional collaboration as well as developing a strong acumen for understanding and addressing client needs and challenges.
Elevate the profile and thought leadership of Capitol B Creative Studios to your book of business in ways that promote client retention and encourage referral partnerships.
Qualifications
Three or more years of experience with a proven track record of success in business development, sales, or fundraising
Experience selling digital marketing or professional service solutions for digital agencies or digital consultancies, upselling and renewing long-term, Agency of Record (AOR)-type relationships
Significant business relationships and personal network of senior marketing and sales decision-makers with ability to activate network to realize revenue goals
Experience crafting and executing plans to upsell and retain high-value projects
High capacity for learning, leadership, collaboration, and team-building skills
Demonstrated success leading complex projects toward desired results
Able to partner with clients to understand their organizational needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business
Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills; strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Gives and receives feedback internally and externally in a constructive and respectful way
Bachelor's degree required
