Purpose Driven Position
CarbonCure is on a mission to revolutionize the concrete industry. We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to assist with the overall execution of our digital strategy to maximize usage of our full suite of CO2 utilization hardware and software solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, the Senior Frontend Developer will be involved throughout the development of custom internal tools to enable the success of every department. You’ll be responsible for mentoring junior developers, participating in sprint planning, providing technical and architectural support, implementing complex features, and collaborating with the backend team to develop new features and tools. Maximizing the synergies and usage of our internal tools is critical to the success of achieving our mission of 500MT CO2 reduction annually. The CarbonCure team is small, tight-knit and supportive, with emphasis on trust and independence.

What you'll need to succeed
- A passion for sustainability and addressing climate change
- Attention to detail with focus on the user
- Five (5 ) years of directly related experience in front-end development
- Demonstrable history of architecting and developing single-page applications
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SCSS
- Experience with React and Recoil
- Experience with NPM to build and streamline processes
- Project experience of integration with authentication providers
- Strong understanding of the UX and user-centric design processes
- Knowledge of deployment on cloud platforms
- Passionate about teamwork, through good commit messages, well-explained documentation, and clean, commented code
- Extensive history of working with backend developers to integrate with internal APIs
- Experience with TypeScript, including migration of projects to TypeScript
- Knowledge of FusionAuth
- Experience integrating design systems, specifically Material Design
Work Environment
- Full-time position will be remote (main office located in Dartmouth, NS)
- Work with a high-functioning team dedicated to our customers and producing high quality output
- Hours are flexible, but a minimum of eight (8) hours per day Monday to Friday is required, with the possibility of additional time based on project and customer demand
