Role:
Our Direct Lending Manager's role is to increase the Credit Union's portfolio of loans and other financial services. Extend the Credit Union services and products to members, potential members and employees.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Our Direct Lending Manager Increases loan growth, promote the use of the Credit Union's loan service and other financial services.
- Identifies areas where existing credit union programs can be improved or enhanced. Identifies new market area and product types, which can be profitably introduced to employees/members. Develops plans to implement identified actions.
- Trains staff to ensure everyone is knowledgeable about the program requirements and procedures. Monitors program and acts as liaison between the Credit Union procedures and employee performance.
- Maintains and reports on direct lending activity weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Provides an explanation for exceptions to plan.
- Uses loan authority to underwrite loans as needed to support operations.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience
Education: A college degree
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills: Must have in depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting deposit programs within the Credit Union, including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD.
