What a Manufacturing Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function. Additionally:
• This role resides in the US and reports into the Director of ST Manufacturing.
• The role is directly responsible for the performance and oversite of the Sustainable Technologies Operations & Supply Chain team members ensuring products are manufactured according to schedule, meet product specification and documentation requirements. This role will have the responsibility for meeting department objectives related to Production, Service, Quality, EH&S, Operational Excellence. This includes leading continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing department. Individual development of individuals within the organization is a key task.
Accountabilities
o Oversees the entire operation and supply chain activities (end to end).
o Develop the planning strategy to meet customer demand (NRA) and model the master production schedule to adjust accordingly based on inventory levels.
o Ensure product availability is consistent (collections) and work with corporate stakeholder to define and plan the production strategy of ST core business (Compression, Lead wires, oxygen sensors, Hovermatt and others).
o Analyze site capacity considerations and reach in a timely manner on critical issues.
o Supervise professional employees, frontline supervisor from A, B and C shifts and ensure clear directions are communicated based on manufacturing objectives.
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices and company policies.
o Promote value stream ownership, Quality Management and emphasizes an environment to foster teamwork.
o Ensures effective staffing of organization to meet production requirements and flexibility.
o Ability to meet internal and external customer needs in a manner that provides customer satisfaction through the effective use of resources.
o Strives to improve the skills of associates by providing clear performance expectations, specific feedback on behaviors, effective coaching, and mentoring, identifying, and providing developmental opportunities, and accurate, timely performance appraisals.
o Demonstrate a commitment to Operational Excellence through fostering and promoting an environment of continuous improvement, learning, accountability and engagement.
o Ensure manufacturing practices are consistent, with policies and procedures as well as relevant Food Drug Administration (FDA), ISO, OSHA guidelines and regulations.
o Maximize use of resources and respect to space, machinery, and personnel.
o Work closely with R&D, Engineering, EHS, Materials and Quality to coordinate product introduction and process changes.
o Manage materials, logistics and product lead times to make sure service levels are met.
o Ability to provide technical support in incident investigations (NCR, CAPAs) to evaluate problems, determines root causes, and provide corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
o Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and timelines to meet objectives.
o Creates and deploy appropriate communications channels for productions and supply chain information.
o Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all KPIs.
o Supporting future expansion projects and globalization of Reprocessing – including international opportunities.
o Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels may interact with senior management
o Interactions normally involves resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred
- A minimum of 4 years related work experience preferred
- 1 year supervisory experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor’s Degree, MBA and OPEX Black Belt preferred
- Lean Six-Sigma, operational excellence, or continuous improvement (Kaizen) training
- Quality Management Systems experience
- Medical Device Manufacturing/Reprocessing/Distribution experience
