What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.
Job Summary
The Technician II, Product Testing and Calibration is responsible for first level troubleshooting for machines within the facility along with the maintenance of these machines. The job is also responsible for the operation of simple machinery as needed.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild and replace cylinders
- Troubleshoot equipment (machines, packaging, rotary machines, etc)
- Train mechanical set up technicians
- Support production
- Use of hand tools (allen wrenches, caliper, wrenches, screwdriver, etc)
- Maintains simple machines and performs general trouble shooting.
- Conducts quality checks on the finished products.
- Operates simple machines that produce products.
- Documents applicable information regarding product quality and machine performance.
- Sets up and calibrates machines as necessary.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- High school degree or GED preferred
