What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Accountabilities in this role
- Adhere to safety, security and all government (OSHA, DEA, DOT and FDA) regulations.
- Complete paperwork accurately and within compliance guidelines
- Completes assigned tasks within the set metrics
- Process vendor buybacks
- Ensuring that Cardinal Health's principles, policies and procedures are consistently practiced
- Filling-in for others and performing functional tasks (i.e., stock, returns) daily where/when necessary
- Handling general employee inquiries and solves routine problems within scope of the position, referring more complex problems to the next level supervisor
- Maintaining positive employee relations
- Promoting team environment and facilitates process improvement
- Supporting Supervisor with some of the daily tasks (i.e., auditing, maintaining spread sheets)
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Ability to multitask
- Good understanding of Microsoft office suite
- Good written and communication skills
- Responsible for adjusting out all damages, outdates, recalls from our inventory
- Required to enter information into multiple online record keeping systems
- Will be required to contact vendors and customers to resolve various product issues
- Will be required to learn the hazardous, Inmar, and customer returns process disposal.
- Will be required to work with other departments to meet the needs of the business
- Participate in monthly inventories and 2 physical inventories
- Will answer questions in the Customer Service Case Management System
- Providing assistance in the training and development of associates
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Good written communication skills
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Attention to detail/accuracy
- Must be team orientated
- Computer experience using Windows or an AS400 system preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
- Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently read written documents and use a computer monitor screen frequently
- MHE certified preferred
- High School Diploma of GED preferred
