Position Summary:
Cardinal Health is currently seeking an Operations Manager for an immediate need within our Aurora facility on the night shift. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations. He or she will manage all the planning and coordination of operations involving safety, quality, pick, pack, ship, staffing, and continuous improvement of the night shift. The selected candidate will provide strong leadership all while passionately guiding a strategic vision, day-to-day operations and long-term growth objectives.
Qualifications
- BA or BS Degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience
- 3 years’ experience in managing medium to large teams
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products'
- LSS and Lean Six Sigma experience considered to be an asset
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
- An adaptable, inclusive, respectful and value-driven professional

Accountabilities
- Manages staff to ensure timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting distribution center standards of budget, policies, procedures, and quality.
- Recommends and implements programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization within the facility.
- Implements and administers all policies and procedures.
- Ensures quality service is provided to the customers, ensures prompt follow-through on customer correspondence related to shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand.
- Handles general employee inquiries and resolves concerns.
- Responsible for supervisory and employee population development, training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals.
- Maintains positive employee relations.
- Must be flexible with work schedule to be a visible leader and maximize employee interactions for a multi shift distribution operation.
