Classroom and Technical Support Specialist
Overview:
Cardinal Stritch University is currently seeking a qualified candidate for our Office of Information Services department. The Classroom and Technical Support Specialist provides technical support, maintenance and training for all classroom and lab technology, including setup and management of all audio-visual equipment. This position works collaboratively with the Help Desk as a first point of contact for university questions about technology and provides operational support for all technology equipment.
Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues relating to hardware, software, network and other computer-related technologies in person and remotely
- Maintain secure and standards-based OS and application loads and patching for classroom and office Windows computers using Microsoft Deployment Solution, PDQ Inventory, PDQ Deploy, WSUS, Microsoft Intune and other systems
- Maintain secure and standards-based OS and application loads and patching for classroom and office Macintosh computers using JAMF, Microsoft Intune and other systems
- Deploy and retrieve computers and equipment to and from offices on campus
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repair of printers with our print fleet vendor
- Maintain University computer, equipment and software inventories
- Manage Active Directory group membership and file share access
- Document and provide training on classroom technology and setup for faculty, staff and students
- Maintain classroom technology
- Approve and print ID cards
- Train, help supervise and mentor helpdesk student workers
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Help supervise and mentor helpdesk student workers
Qualifications:
- An Associate degree in an IT related field is preferred or 1 year of work experience in a relevant technical field.
