The General Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of our store. With the biggest selection of sports cards and trading card games, CardsHQ is truly the world's local card shop because wherever you are, we are open to you. The General Manager will be responsible for leading a team of employees, ensuring inventory is stocked and maintained, and creating an environment that fosters exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will bring a combination of leadership skills, business acumen, and a passion for the trading card industry.
- Oversee the daily operations of CardsHQ, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
- Train and manage a team of employees, providing ongoing support and mentorship to ensure success.
- Work with the buying team to ensure inventory is stocked, maintained, and updated as needed, while also monitoring costs.
- Cultivate relationships with customers and create a welcoming environment that fosters exceptional customer experiences.
- Ensure CardsHQ is meeting sales targets and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the store is efficient and effective.
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends and new product releases to ensure CardsHQ has the best selection of trading cards
- Proven experience in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of inventory management and experience with purchasing.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Deep knowledge of sports cards and/or trading card games.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting heavy items as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
