What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Career Connections, Inc?
Summary:
A groundskeeper needed for the Chillicothe campus of Ohio University. Under general direction of the Manager of Maintenance and Operations, will assist in the light maintenance and equipment upkeep of property/equipment and also groundskeeping and safety for inclement weather (salting sidewalks/parking lots, and shoveling snow). In addition, the groundskeeper will be tasked with mowing/weed eating of the grounds. Will assist with other projects and duties as needed.
This is a temporary, full-time position starting ASAP and lasting approximately six weeks. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with a 30-minute meal break). Pay is $15/hour.
Qualifications:
- Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and pictorial form
- Ability to work independently or with others
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- May require valid driver's license
- An established pattern of good work habits and performance with good interpersonal skills.
- Prior maintenance experience desired but not required.
