In this role, you will
• Provide general lab support and management
• Control the inventory of samples and materials
• Communicate project updates and technical reports to supervisor and senior level management
• Purify and characterize proteins using biochemical and analytical techniques
• Run SDS PAGE, western blots and characterize using HPLC and other techniques
• Identify and promptly troubleshoot technical issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory notebooks and documents
• Keen in learning new methods and techniques
• Flexibility to multi-task across numerous scientific disciplines
• Additional experience with molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, ELISA, Western blotting preferred
Qualifications
• Enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program or Associates degree or equivalent, in a relevant field
• Previous laboratory experience in relevant field is not mandatory
• Skill in keeping clear, detailed records
• A proactive nature, rapidly adaptable to change, with the ability to:
o follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols,
o work in groups, receive and give instruction, and identify, report, and solve problems,
o work to deadlines
• Punctuality and on-site presence
• The ability to work independently
