In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate equipment to prescribed instructions to perform various unit operations such as reactions, filtrations, distillations, drying, milling, etc on raw materials and various stages of chemical processing.
- Follow and document per batch sheet instructions to produce products according to all current Good Manufacturing Procedure guidelines as required.
- Support all facets of the Pilot Plant to include assisting the Shift Supervisors with special project needs, production support activities, SAP entries, etc.
- Support the Chemical Research and Development group for kilo lab operations as needed.
- Operate with good housekeeping practices and maintain the Pilot Plant in accordance with cGMP regulations (cleaning validation, equipment logs, etc.)
Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
Required
- High school diploma/GED
- Shift work required which will include weekends and/or holidays
- Ability to work 12 hour shift assignments, day and night shift
- Must be able to work overtime
- Ability to wear a respirator & other forms of PPE
- Excellent reading & comprehension skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry with previous experience in Pilot Plant or chemical operations or combination of education and experience
- Mechanical aptitude/experience helpful
- Advanced Math skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Team player and able to work with changing priorities with excellent time management skills
- Previous operating experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
