Position Purpose: This position serves as a strategic partner and advisor to the CHRO, playing a critical role in designing and implementing innovative and streamlined HR operations. With a blend of human resources operations and project management responsibilities, this role requires a dynamic leader adept at driving projects that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. The Director acts as the CHRO's designee and is responsible for steering the HR department towards operational excellence. This position works closely with clinical and operational leadership to proactively identify opportunities to improve workforce outcomes across the organization in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in HR or related business field, HR certification and Project Management certification a plus.
  • 10 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Human Resources processes and best practices, including but not limited to talent acquisition, organizational strategy, leadership development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Developed project management, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of how business strategies drive talent initiatives.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Suite.
  • Ability to adjust work schedule according to the business needs.
  • Frequent local travel and occasional regional and overnight travel required to support business needs.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion & in accordance with the law.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people in a dynamic environment; a collaborative spirit.
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the key advisor to the CHRO, providing insights and strategic recommendations on HR operations and initiatives.
  2. Act as the CHRO’s designee in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making within the HR department.
  3. Lead strategic projects that align with the organization's vision and HR’s goals as approved by CHRO, particularly in areas such as organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
  4. Partners with HR Leadership to determine supportive methodology and resources to support the HR Strategic Plan. Oversee and manage critical HR projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they meet objectives within budget and timelines.
  5. Implement project management frameworks and tools to streamline HR processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, such as HR Department dashboard to report on Key Performance Indicators.
  6. Monitor HR operational performance, identify improvement areas, and deploy best practices in process optimization. Leads confidently using metrics and data drive analytical decision-making skills combined with pragmatic point of view.
  7. Guide and mentor HR team members, promoting professional development and alignment with strategic goals.
  8. Ensure the HR team is responsive to employee needs and compliant with regulatory standards.
  9. Build and sustain high-performance teams through robust leadership and effective talent management strategies.
  10. Responsible for analysis, design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR processes and initiatives related to all human resources activities.
  11. Provide counsel, guidance, and tools to managers and senior leadership as to best practices in human resources activities.
  12. Build strong relationships with leaders and employees, working closely with subject matter experts to understand site and/or department-specific needs.
  13. Establish community relationships while building/reinforcing the Rosecrance brand.
  14. Maintain compliance and understanding with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices as well as applicable licensing rules & accreditation.
  15. Serve as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  16. Exhibits actions and makes decisions that align with the Rosecrance Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
  17. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and with the framework of the law.
  18. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
