Job Type: Part-Time during 2024 Fall Semester
Deadline: June 30, 2024
Salary: $19.00 per hour

Position Overview
Interns will work closely with CareVet’s legal department to tackle a broad range of projects relating to mergers and acquisitions, contract review and drafting, business organizations, real property, and employment law. This internship is ideal for students interested in a general business practice and learning how a legal department can be an integral part of a company’s business.
Job Responsibilities
Interns can anticipate the following roles and responsibilities: researching state law applicable to CareVet’s business; preparing and presenting the results of their research; attending meetings between CareVet Legal and various business departments; assisting with the due diligence, legal drafting, and closing of M&A transactions; assisting with contract management and other legal organizational tools; attending training sessions on the legal aspects of CareVet’s business; and generally working with the CareVet legal department on in-house legal issues.
Job Requirements And Basic Qualifications
Applicants should have excellent research and writing skills; be highly organized; proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic business acumen; the ability to function independently with limited supervision; and the ability to interact comfortably with multiple levels of corporate personnel.
