Key Responsibilities:
F&I Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the financing and insurance process, ensuring that customers receive the best possible financial solutions tailored to their needs.
- Work with customers to explain financing options, terms, and insurance products, securing the best deals while maintaining profitability for the dealership.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available financing options, including incentives, rebates, and interest rates.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage the dealership's financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team to support decision-making and drive business growth.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities to increase profitability and reduce costs.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all financing processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as dealership policies.
- Manage and mitigate financial risks by maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance and address any financial issues.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and insurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer-focused service.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team informed of changes in regulations, finance products, and dealership policies.
Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with the financing process.
- Handle any escalated customer issues related to financing or insurance, ensuring a positive resolution.
Inventory and Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to structure deals that align with dealership goals and customer needs.
- Support inventory management by providing financial analysis on stock levels, turnover rates, and pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive dealership finance management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of F&I processes, including auto financing, leasing, and insurance products.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local financial regulations applicable to automotive sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in dealership management software (e.g., CDK Global, Reynolds & Reynolds) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
