Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver:
- Picks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed.
- Accurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation. Assist residents on and off the bus.
- Load groceries and other purchased items into the bus/van.
- Makes miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary.
- Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
- Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
- Completes a safety check of the applicable vehicle (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
- Transports vehicle(s) to service locations for routine preventive maintenance on the vehicle(s) as scheduled by the supervisor.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.
- Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school education is required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Valid Commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred. Must have a good driving record.
- Must maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents at all times.
- Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
Many community roles may require we ask about your vaccination status. This could include Hep B, flu, and COVID-19 vaccine status. Please note that all employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
