What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Manager position at Caring Animal Hospital?
Caring Animal Hospital in Holt, MI is looking for a part time Inventory Manager to optimize our inventory procedures. This position would average 18-21 hours weekly with no evenings or weekends. The inventory manager will work closely with the practice manager to develop policies and procedures to improve inventory productivity. A team-based mentality, passion for our values, positive outlook, and good follow-through are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire inventory process, including ordering, receiving, reporting, and budgets.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through twice yearly counts.
- Collaborate with hospital management to plan inventory needs.
- Optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in the practice management software related to inventory.
- Utilize systems and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.
- Train staff on changes to inventory process or procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
