ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Reviews, tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications (including checks of motor vehicle records and criminal history) in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) before hiring an employee.
Verify compliance documentation (i.e., licensure, certifications, immunizations, etc.) to ensure accuracy according to regulatory specifications.
Conducts HR compliance audits with Human Resource Manager to ensure all regulatory standards and legal requirements are met and appropriately documented to avoid legal liabilities.
Manages FMLA and other leave of absence notices and requests from employees coordinating as needed, with Operations Manager.
Manages the full suite of employee benefits from offering to termination
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Works with HR Manager to handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Works with HR Manager to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
Stay current on industry standards by continuing education, reading publications, talking with peers, and joining professional groups.
Performs other duties as assigned by HR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of HR specific laws; employment, and labor laws
2 years' experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
This is a full-time, 40hrs/week position with typical business hours (8:00 am-5:00 pm). Some evenings and weekends may be needed.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
