Basic Function:
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the day-to-day human resource functions of the facility in accordance to current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and as directed by the Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compiles, maintains and updates a system of recordkeeping on current and past employees such as personal data, payroll information, attendance, vacation, PTO, new hire and termination information, compensation, benefits, tax data and worker’s compensation
Ensures files and forms are kept complete, up to date and organized
Manages Applicant Tracking System and new hire process
Orients new employees to the facility
Develops and maintains job descriptions and performance evaluations for all staff members
Works in a highly responsible and confidential environment
Ability to multi-task is essential
Works in conjunction with administrator and department directors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Kronos and other HR software
Experience in human resources management preferably in a long-term care or other healthcare facility required.
Prefer Bachelor or Associates degree. Applicants with equivalent experience and training in Human Resources and a successful work history will also be considered.
