Caritas Communities is looking for a full-time team member in our Resident Support Services Program as a Resident Services Coordinator for a portfolio of scattered site residential properties.
The primary goal of the Resident Supportive Services team is to assist residents in achieving stability and success in permanent housing. Duties include coordination with social service partners and housing placement agencies, assessment and goal setting with residents, advocacy and connection to community resources, interventions and lease education, conflict resolution and de-escalation, and program development. A successful candidate will build and maintain working relationships with support and property staff and provider partners to develop an integrated system of supporting Caritas residents for long term success.
This position requires compassion for people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness and must exercise patience and respect in all interactions. A successful candidate will be enthusiastic and work cooperatively with team members to create a high quality of life for residents.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Three or more years of experience in social work and human services
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively in managing a large, scattered site portfolio.
- Skilled in resolving conflict, de-escalation and mediation
- Experience recording activities and progress in a database management system.
- Knowledge of YARDI and Apricot 360, and proficiency with Microsoft Office a plus
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous documentation
- Strong professional presence
- Maintain a positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Ability to use good judgement and keep client information confidential
