Position Summary:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited nursing program - required
Bachelor's Degree in Individuals hired after August 1, 2013 must obtain a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) within five (5) years of start date.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Basic Life Support (BLS) Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.- Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities/hospitals.
- requireduired to drive your own vehicle for business purposes
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser. Multicultural sensitivity.Critical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisions

Promotes the use of evidence-based practice through the nursing process, protocols and procedures

Coordinates the interdisciplinary care of the patient through collaboration with team members and utilizes additional resources when necessary

Assesses and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient's/family's age specific needs
Performance Improvement Focus:
Actively participates in data collection, analysis, and problem solving and gives input on process improvements and patient satisfaction
