Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager, at its Lake City, FL location.
Maintenance Manager will oversee and supervise activities of maintenance department. This is a hands on manager role where you will have responsibility of maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
Our Lake City plant is a 24-hour operation staffed 7 days per week. This position will be Monday - Friday but will be on call and ensure coverage of the facility through proper scheduling.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise hourly maintenance mechanics and develop/modify systems to enhance productivity and/or reduce maintenance downtime/costs. Serves as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for electrical, mechanical and basic PLC.
- Provide leadership and direction for plant's maintenance functions.
- Oversee all building maintenance and relationships with outside vendors
- Oversee, diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and electrical systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities which include SQDC board walks, 5S, and Kaizen events
- Coordinate and execute capital projects and major maintenance activities.
- Support project engineer acting as SME (Subject Matter Expert) and liaison between departmental staff, the plant manager, other department managers, line supervisors and other plant personnel in matters relating to equipment design and functioning. Works with production and quality/technical service departments to improve process functioning by making justified equipment modifications and/or changes.
- Assist R&D, Purchasing and Central Engineering personnel as needed to better understand equipment capabilities/functions, especially as they relate to product/process requirements.
- Assist in training new maintenance employees.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- A four-year degree in Engineering preferred
- Five to eight (5-8) years related maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience in the following maintenance areas: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler, PLCs, reading blueprints, equipment manuals and schematics, Preventive Maintenance and Work Order schedules
- Experience with pumping equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, thermodynamics, electronics, etc.
- Experience with Capital project.
- SAP/CMMS
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
- About 60% of work is done in an office setting with 40% being spent in production floor
- The position typical works Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm with flexibility to run earlier or later pending on activity scheduled of department and/or special projects completion; weekend and or holiday are required when needed.
