Purpose: On-time assembly of components and finished products (guns, pumps, regulators, tanks, cups, injectors, kits, hoses, etc.) according to all applicable specifications and requirements per prints, bill-of-material, work instructions, etc. Conduct testing of products according to test specifications. Maintain finished goods levels for cell per Kan Ban process.
Primary Responsibilities
Working from prints, bills of material, work instructions and drawings to build and test several products, including but not limited to: pumps, injectors, kits, guns, hoses, systems, regulators, tanks etc.
Build, test and ensure product assembled meets its quality requirements.
Maintain component parts’ stocking levels per Kan Ban, reorder point, etc. processes.
Assist Cell Lead as necessary. Work as backup in other cells.
Achieve production standards established by Management.
Maintain ISO documents and drawings by reviewing appropriate revision levels.
Maintain work bench and tools using 5S methods.
Maintain positive working relationships.
Preform other related responsibilities as needed and assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED or a combination of education and one to three years of mechanical/pneumatic assembly experience.
Must be able to read and understand/interpret prints and bills of material with minimal assistance.
Must be able to use hand and power tools to accomplish required assemblies.
Ability to spatially visualize how parts, components and sub-assemblies come together resulting in the quality assembly.
Must be able to use various gauges and measuring devices; and have ability to identify non-conforming parts.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and use these skills to solve problems.
Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, complete forms with accurate information.
Must be able to properly identify, count, and maintain required inventory.
Must be able to work as a cooperative and contributing member of the Team. For example, voluntarily or per supervisor request, helping team members when own work is complete.
Must be able to operate equipment to move parts, materials, etc.
