Cutter/Sewing Machine Operator

Currently we have an opening for a full time Cutter/Sewing Machine Operator in our American Lifting Products branch in Duncan, South Carolina.
It is essential for our Cutter/Sewing Machine Operator to accurately, efficiently and safely operate a heavy-duty industrial style sewing machine and heat cutter to make slings for lifting small to large items such as boats and houses. Our Sewing Machine operator is responsible for sewing/cutting cargo straps used in the shipping industry for securing loads on trucks, ships, railroad cars, and car haulers. Our customers require a high quality product.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Ability to sew slings both flat eyes and twisted eyes
- Ability to operate a heavy duty industrial style sewing machine
- Ability to sew up to four ply
- Must be able to read a tape line feet and inches
- Must be able to follow drawings and instructions to detail
- Ability to use an automatic cutter
