Carpinito Brothers is a retail and wholesale supplier of farm fresh produce, landscaping products, and lawn/garden supplies. We are currently looking for a stellar Office/HR Manager to join our team!
The duties of the Office/HR Manager include overseeing reception, managing human resources and payroll, managing Temporary Agriculture Workers program, processing data, providing administrative support to executives and managers.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Office Manager
- Provide administrative support to executives.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
- Compliance with administrative operations policies and procedures.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Support other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
HR/Payroll
- Provide support for HR activities, including onboarding new employees, managing employee files, and coordinating with payroll and benefits providers.
- Collect and organize weekly timecards ensuring all information is accurate including regular and overtime hour totals.
- Field employee’s payroll related questions and coordinate appropriate responses.
H2A program
- Administer the Temporary Agricultural Workers program (H2A)
- Ensure compliance with US Dept of Labor rules, regulations and procedures.
- Manage and oversee the Housing and Transportation requirements of the program.
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal product and employee safety rules.
- Foster positive working relationships with various government agencies.
- Manage Recruitment strategies of the program.
- Handle all compliance issues involved in obtaining work visas.
- Conduct and continually refine new H2A Employee orientations.
- Handle H2A employee issues regarding wages, workers compensation insurance, housing, transportation, etc.
- Attend ongoing seminars and Industry association Meetings and seminars on Immigration and Guest worker topics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years managing an office and office support staff.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and problem solve when faced with multiple input sources required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism, discretion and ethical standards.
- Experience processing/overseeing high volume payroll required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Proven track record of being self-motivated and partnering with diverse team members and outside sources required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $50.00 per hour
