This is a rare opportunity to join the Carrier team as a direct hire. As as a Logistics Team Leader 1 you will be responsible for supporting the materials operation in a distribution environment.
This position works Monday Friday, 3 : 30pm 11 : 30pm with overtime. Schedule may change based off business conditions.
Responsibilities include :
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
- Complete understanding of the materials process to include :
- Knowledge to secure trailer for loading / unloading
- Document, resolve turnbacks
- Process OS&D, file freight claims
- Following standard work for your area of responsibility
- Locating methodologies
- Knowledge to cycle count drive discrepancy to RRCA
- Knowledge to complete PI prep and execution
- Understand and execute all materials JDE transactions in area
- Create standard work and work instruction
- Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge to perform all job functions within your area of responsibility
- Train new employees, manage work flow and coordinate manpower
- Knowledge to perform incident investigations, EH&S audits, 5S audits and PIV observations.
- In compliance with UOI’s / POI’s affecting materials
- Coordinate special projects
- Effectively problem solve, communicate effectively and consistently
- Work with employees on the floor to ensure quality work
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified PIV Driver
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds.*
- ACE Associate preferred
- Excellent computer skills required
