The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for assisting on-time delivery to our customers through daily consistent track and trace responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review all shipments daily in Salesforce and TMS systems to ensure transportation providers are scheduled for timely pickups from factories and on-time deliveries to Carrier customer locations and provide timely systems as needed.
- Reschedule any delayed or early shipments daily across multiple systems, ensure the information in each system, and match schedule adjustments.
- Problem solve delivery management issues and provide regular updates to customers or partners.
- Review Factory Yard Reports daily to ensure timely pick up of Carrier shipments. Troubleshoot delayed and missed pickups with transportation providers.
- Review Live Loads schedules daily and communicate any delays to factory locations.
- Respond to customer, employee, or provider communications via personal email or Carrier Track & Trace mailbox in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule shipments for intermodal providers via Salesforce and communicate those schedules to Transportation providers.
- Update shipments IDs in Salesforce to Carrier Bill of Lading numbers.
- Review and Approve/Reject accessorial charges from providers.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Associates Degree preferred or another 2-year post-high school training.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years Transportation/Logistics Experience
- Experience working directly with Transportation Providers strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (SAP Experience a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs, quickly act to solve their problems, and exceed expectations.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and follow standard work procedures.
- Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain focused on attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work as one team toward a common purpose.
- Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
