Description: Carroll College is seeking an Associate Director of Facilities Services. This position has responsibility for assisting with project management and the day to day operational oversight of campus facilities, custodial, and grounds departments. The Associate Director provides leadership for a wide range of college services and functions, including indirect responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep, rehabilitation, project management, and construction and remodeling; and campus grounds, maintenance, and custodial services.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management or related field plus 2 years of maintenance or grounds related experience. A combination of education and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities and/or ground maintenance with supervisory responsibility will be considered.
The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of skilled trades such as project management, HVAC, carpentry, boiler operations, electrical and electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, and pipefitting, etc. Current driver’s license and ability to operate assorted vehicles. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be extremely organized. Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, invoices, forms, and governmental regulations. Working knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software. Working knowledge and experience performing small-scale construction and renovation estimates. Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem solving. Working knowledge of building systems and regulatory/fire codes.
