About the team and position
As a Purchasing Arbitrator you will be focused on initiating, following up and completing the arbitration process. An ideal candidate will support our operations by understanding workflows, identifying areas of opportunity, and utilizing their technical skills to solve problems and improve processes.
What you’ll be doing
- Compare and verify information provided by reconditioning locations against Vehicle Condition Reports, Manufacturer Warranties, Purchasing Agreements and NAAA guidelines.
- Gather information and evaluate policies to submit or decline arbitration claims.
- Negotiate transparent arbitration resolutions with auctions, sellers, and our reconditioning departments alike.
- Maintain relationships with internal customers and vendors to collaborate and follow through with results.
- You will work with others to understand business processes and deliver data relevant to arbitration performance
- Be analytically-oriented and keep detailed records.
- You will become familiar with current operations across various departments and work cross-functionally with stakeholders and other analysts.
- Act as liaison between the purchasing function and other business units
What you should have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, Supply Chain, or similar field
- 1-3 years of prior experience
- Direction experience with auto auction, as a used car buyer or in the estimating of damage to automobiles
- Strong analytical skills, specifically in Excel/SQL/Tableau
- Familiarity/Interest in cars or the automotive industry
- Ability to collaborate among multiple business units
- Ability to confidently converse with and present to senior management
It would be great if you also had
- Claims processing and/or titles resolution experience.
- Strong analytical skills, specifically in Excel/SQL/Tableau
