This Human Resources Associate position is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand on their experience in the field of Human Resources. The Human Resources Associate works to support daily administrative operations and programing of the Human Resources Department. The position requires strict confidentiality, attention to detail, and discretion. The Human Resources Associate reports to the Human Resources Manager and works closely with the Finance Team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Department
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial screenings, and employment verifications.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with the coordination of new employee onboarding.
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment and assist with benefits administration. Reconcile payroll entries with benefit vendor systems.
- Support HR team in organizing employee events, training programs, and other HR & Agency projects.
- Maintain knowledge of current employment laws and regulations
- Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Additional Expectations
- Participates in team and agency meetings.
- Works with other program and agency staff.
- Develops own professional development plan with manager and attends trainings, meetings, and conferences within Casa Myrna and in the community.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor and agency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Committed to Casa Myrna’s values and mission of ending domestic and dating violence and commercial exploitation, and promoting social justice and social change.
- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience performing Human Resources related functions.
- Knowledge of HR Policies & Procedures.
- Experience working with HRIS database to include entries, reporting, & customization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience supporting the recruitment process a plus.
- Expert at using Microsoft Office Suites including Excel. Digital & social media tools a plus
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate work at multiple sites; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to work and advocate in a collaborative style with diverse ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic groups, as well as diversity based on ability/disability, sexual orientation and religion.
- Promote an atmosphere of respect and cooperation; maintain confidentiality regarding program participants.
- Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication, crisis management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $45,000 -$50,000
