- Prepare and maintain fiscal information, budgets, files, and records.
- Process monthly adjusting journal entries, correcting entries, deposits, and accruals.
- Manage fund balances, campus programs, and related financial activity, ensure that allocations are accurate and related revenues are generated, approve campus purchases, manage expenses, and follow fiscal practices.
- Prepare documentation and written support, and convey information to auditors, tax accountants, and other entities as needed.
- Develop and maintain documented procedures and internal controls.
- Prepare monthly budget reports for each campus, program, and department.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Executive Director of Business, Superintendent, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees.
- Reconcile, maintain, and research discrepancies in financial information.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and financial transfers from checking, payroll, and money market accounts.
- A Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions.
- Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
- Preferred experience in K-12 education or a non-profit organization.
- Preferred experience in Sage 100, Sage Enterprize Intelligence (SEI) Reporting Software, Depreciation Solutions, CaseWare, and FACTS.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated experience setting up audit work papers, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to attend staff devotions.
- Must be self-motivated, willing to learn, and highly organized with attention to detail.
- Possess exceptional customer service skills that are consistently applied to every member of the Cascade Christian community.
- Must be first aid and CPR-certified or willing to receive and pass certification.
- Must clear background check.
