What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Aide position at Cascade Park Vista LLC?
Qualifications and Job Skills:
Must be at least 18 years of age; a high school graduate or equivalent GED is preferred. Must be able to work in close cooperation with the ADH Recreation Coordinator, Program Manager, Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist, accept and utilize constructive criticism, and display initiative to complete activity-related tasks and programs.
The following skills and attributes have been determined as essential qualifications for the Restorative Aide position:
- Desire to work with the elderly in an environment that upholds their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality.
- Ability to recognize and address problems promptly and appropriately.
- Appropriate communication skills to foster and maintain positive relations with residents, families, physicians, state officials, Company staff, and outside healthcare agencies.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the job.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision yet respond well to direction and guidance.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions related to resident care.
- A general understanding of the needs of the elderly.
- Cheerful, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn new knowledge/skills.
- Able to work well with others and to function effectively as part of a team.
- Adheres to acceptable hygiene and grooming standards, with a willingness to follow Company dress code requirements.
- Good character and a continuing reputation of personal integrity.
