Casemate Publishers & Book Distributors is a leading independent specialist publisher and distributor, providing sales, marketing, print, digital and publishing services. Publications include the best in a range of areas, including military history, Celtic interest, art, social history, and archaeology. Casemate represents over 200 client publishers from both the trade and academic sectors.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, this full-time position is responsible for bringing our books to the largest possible readership through marketing data management, social media promotion, email marketing, and website promotion. This position will also establish relationships with organizations and societies to promote sales, as well as facilitate authors’ promotional activities.
The ideal candidate must be organized, self-motivated, a solid long-range planner, and an excellent and effective communicator. This position may call for occasional travel to conferences and events outside the region.
We offer a hybrid working environment with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Wednesday after initial training is complete. Our office is located in Havertown, Pennsylvania and is easily accessible via various SEPTA bus routes.
Position Responsibilities
· Create, edit, and optimize both paid and organic content for social media
· Manage marketing data through implementation of keywords, book description updates, and reviews.
· Update websites with new books, blog posts, graphics, book previews and keywords.
· Write, organize, and send email marketing campaigns and discount promotions
· Brief graphic designer on the creation of marketing materials.
· Secure review coverage in relevant media.
· Lead promotion of our Celtic Books brand to local societies and enthusiast communities.
· Data-driven decision making: analysis and reporting on data derived from online marketing to determine effectiveness and strategy
· Manage pre and post-show event planning for conferences and author events
· Provide general administrative support when needed
Skills
- BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, English, or History
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a high degree of ability in Word and Excel
- Ability to work well in a team
- Self-motivated, confident, enthusiastic, and creative
- Skilled in the areas of multi-tasking, organization, prioritization, and time management
- Experience in book and/or digital publishing or marketing is a major plus.
