General Summary of Job Duties

The responsibilities are the supervision of the properties Sparkle Team. Coordinate all the work orders and for all repair work for property. Oversee the Preventative Maintenance system.

Essential Job Function and Duties

  • Supervision of the Sparkle Team (Leads, Porters) to include completion of performance reviews, disciplinary actions, scheduling, and attendance tracking.
  • Will dispatch Sparkle Team members when needed.
  • mediate team member disputes and concerns.
  • organize quarterly team member meetings (more often if required).
  • help to create and monitor departmental service standards.
  • Assist in cost analysis and chemical research of cleaning products for the department.
  • Will receive, record, and schedule all company work orders.
  • Price and compare parts, equipment, and tools.
  • work with the engineers to design, issue, and record the Preventive Maintenance system.
  • file all invoices, completed work orders, log sheets, and appropriate paperwork.
  • dispatch engineers per calls received.
  • Will be responsible for the Sparkle Team, Facility Support, and Engineering for processing payroll.
  • all FACT sheets, including new hires, terminations, transfers, and wage changes.
  • write appropriate purchase orders, receive parts, and match received parts to invoice or purchase order as appropriate.
  • Review and record all invoices, as well as prepare them for approval, and return to A/P.
  • Notify engineering of arriving parts,
  • Coordinate all battery distribution and tracking throughout the casino.
  • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Repair tables, stools, chairs, and office furniture by replacing or tightening loose hardware or components.
  • Maintain housekeeping equipment including vacuums, sweepers, extractors, buffers, etc. by replacement of parts, electrical cords, brushes, belts, wheels, and other components.
  • Assist with snow removal.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
  • Assist other engineers on the property, participating in projects as needed.
  • Must have the ability to maintain composition in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Previous Secretarial / Administrative Assistant experience required.
  • Must have professional demeanor and phone etiquette including the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Must be self-motivated, professional, well organized, detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Thorough knowledge in the use and teachings of safety practices and all state and federal safety laws.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary for all maintenance and repair work on duty.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
