ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Casino Pauma their choice of gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
- Maintain relationships with valued gaming guests and market our gaming product to new potential high-limit guests.
- Oversee all activities of Player Development staff, including training, hiring, and performance reviews and required disciplinary action by company policies.
- Create and implement special events for VIP guests.
- Maintains departmental work schedule to ensure proper balance of telemarketing time, casino floor duties, and support of special events.
- Provides supervisory support for the Director of Player Development to ensure all team members are provided with training, coaching, guidance, and access to the necessary resources to accomplish established objectives.
- Keeps the team informed of all casino promotions and special events
- Manages inventory and player criteria to maximize tournaments and special events yield.
- Makes comping decisions for situations involving high-value guests and responds to senior management requests and directives.
- Supports efforts to aggressively drive host activity to attain individual revenue goals and objectives.
- Effectively manages the team’s responses to detractors and other guest complaints.
- Assigns qualified un-hosted guests regularly.
- Assists in maintaining all account assignments by preparing data to validate coding and un-coding requests.
- Safeguards the confidential nature of all departmental and company records.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all electronic gaming machines, player tracking systems, promotions, events, entertainment, and general property information.
- Keeps informed of competitive promotions and offerings.

- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Understanding and experience in the regional gaming market.
- Operations, services, and activities of comprehensive marketing and database programs.
- The Gaming industry, including telemarketing, sales, and incentive programs.
- Procedures, methods, and equipment, including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases, to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of player development and marketing experience in the gaming industry.
- Must have verifiable success in being proactive in responding to changing market factors.
- Strong financial acumen and bottom-line orientation.
- Must thoroughly understand all table game products, ratings, industry terminology, theoretical calculations, competitive insights and knowledge, and gaming-related policies and procedures.
- Must know about the property and industry and effectively communicate the terms of offers and promotions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills and friendly, outgoing personality required.
- Must be a proven self-starter, flexible, versatile, and responsible.
- Prior customer service and sales experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- BS/BA – Business Administration or related field preferred
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
