What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) position at Cassia?
Lakeside Generations is hiring Part-Time and Full-Time Nurses (RNs or LPNs) to join our team as Charge Nurses! In addition to generous benefits, we are offering up to a $10,000 Bonus! Our ideal candidate will have strong nursing and leadership skills, along with excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
There are Part-Time and Full-Time, benefit eligible positions available. Shift: Evening
Part-Time will be eligible for a $5,000 Bonus; Full-Time will be eligible for a $10,000 Bonus.
Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) responsibilities:
- Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
- Function as a team member with other staff in performance of duties.
- Manage medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
- Implement individual plan of care for resident and monitors staff providing care.
- Notify nurse manager, attending physician, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary.
- Order lab, x-ray, ambulance, and other services as necessary.
- Receive, transcribes, and carries out physician's orders.
- Participate in direct resident care as needed.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents according to procedures.
- Monitor nursing personnel on duty during the assigned shift.
- Perform additional tasks as requested.
Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) skills and requirements:
- Current MN Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required.
- Must have strong nursing and leadership skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Takes pride in delivering quality outcomes and services to our residents.
