We are seeking someone skilled and experienced in recruiting and selection for a broad range of non-technical jobs, ranging from entry-level to professional and managment/executive roles. As our in-house Recruiter, you will provide your expertise in the full range of recruiting including:
- interviewing and screening applicants
- writing compelling ad copy and managing advertising activities
- working with managers to develop interview process and selection methods
- communicating with applicants and hiring managers to coordinate the entire process.
- ensuring a diverse and well-qualified pool of finalists and inclusive hiring practices.

They will be committed to good process and good results, while providing our clients and their job applicants with an excellent experience.
We are Castlerock HR Consulting, a firm dedicated to serving nonprofits and small business with outstanding HR support and expertise. We provide fully outsourced HR/Recruiting services and retained recruiting services for our clients. At Castlerock, you will join at team of HR professionals who are passionate about building workplaces where everyone can thrive and do their best work (including you!).
Hours are flexible, but you must be able to work during the weekday 9-5 with impeccable reliability. This position can be primarily remote and working from home, but there will be regular in-person interviews in our Concord or Walnut Creek office.
This is a part-time (15-20 hour/week) position, with potential for additional hours if desired. Compensation is $30.00-$37.50/hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience as a Recruiter for both hourly and salaried positions, with demonstrated skill in all phases of the recruiting/selection process.
- Solid understanding of compliance and record-keeping requirements related to recruitment/selection.
- Proficient with Applicant Tracking System(s)
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Demonstrated client service skills.
- Quick to learn company cultures, new approaches, and new technologies.
- Comfortable working independently in a virtual office; proactive in asking questions and asking for help when needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience sourcing passive candidates is a plus.
- Broad knowledge of the HR body of knowledge, as demonstrated by HR certification is a plus.
