Job Description: At Caterpillar’s S. Milwaukee location, we build large mining machines while ensuring that we deliver a quality product to our customers. In this role as a Human Resources Generalist, you will report to the Human Resources Manager and will be primarily responsible for overseeing new hire and learning processes as well as various HR functions. As a member of the Human Resources team, you will need to have a service oriented personality with a mind towards continuous improvement at S. Milwaukee. What you will do: Support Recruiting needs/planning Organize and Conduct New Employee Orientation Liaise with Regional and Corporate Human Resources Ownership of Required Learning at facility level Interact with and counsel all levels of management, salaried & hourly employees, to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel, wage/salary and benefit related issues Interface with Corporate Human Resources, Compensation Benefits, and Payroll personnel to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems in some or all of the following areas: Performance Management Process Communication of human resources related material Employee Opinion Survey analysis and communication Performance of duties associated with Governmental regulations and internal investigations Support Enterprise Learning initiatives Track and report on metrics and measurements for human resources functions and provide data to management Support and Lead various other human resources related initiatives - duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: 1-2 years’ experience in positions that touch on HR including benefits, employment, compensation, and company policies and procedures Top Candidates will also have: Ability to maintain confidentiality Degree in HR, Business, or communications Excellent human relations and effective communication skills PHR or SHRM-CP Additional Information: The primary location for this position is S.
