Performs variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests and procedures for use in diagnosis. Serves as clinical resource for trainees, staff medical technologists, medical laboratory scientists, MLTs, and physicians. Supervises section personnel and performs required administrative functions.
Education and Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field. MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification. Proficiency in assigned areas of the medical center laboratory.
Work Experience:
Two or more years of experience. Demonstrated supervisory and administration potential. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
