Job summary:
Our Engineering Project Team Leader position has both technical and functional ownership of system integration, architectural design, and application of the C175 engine platform in commercial applications and is critical for the execution of NPI, CPI, and aftermarket growth opportunities for C175 particularly in the Electric Power Generation application. You will need experience in large engine design that leads internal partners in ensuring proper design, integration, and application of C175 engines to both defend and grow the product's profitability in commercial markets.
What you will do:
- Hold Platform level Engineering technical and architecture team meetings
- Lead engine hardware design direction by guiding component engineers
- Coordinate and lead design reviews and deep dive reviews
- Ensure program functional requirements and cost targets are met
- Supporting customer service inquiries
- Communicate software requirements, coordinate validation, and oversee implementation at the platform level
- Manage CPI projects
- Working with component support team, validation team, factory operations, application and installation and customer service teams as needed to ensure robust product solutions.
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Mechanical, Aeronautical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering curriculum and 5 years of progressing work experience.
- Basic working knowledge of diesel engines
Top candidates will also have:
- Masters degree in an accredited Mechanical, Aeronautical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering curriculum
- Incumbents must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.
- Requires a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills.
- Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.
- Experience with engine performance & software
- Experience working on large gas or diesel engines or gensets
- Strong sense of accountability and ability to manage priorities
- Engine BOM configuration and systems integration experience
