Description
To support the deployment and embedding of the Network Planning and Execution (NPE) solutions and standard work within the enterprise, through engagement with business partners in the product groups and procurement teams. Build strong understanding of the supply network and the digital solutions to further the synchronization of the End-to-End supply chain.
Job Duties
This role will be collaborating with procurement vertical leads, suppliers, digital product owners, facility supply chain teams and S&OP coordinators in the product groups to drive the standard work and workflows developed over the last 18 months as part of the AoS initiative, to
- Understand Caterpillar demand requirements for internal and external suppliers and ensure the data in the NPE pass all the quality checks
- Understand and identify supply capability and constraints in the network and ensure the data is recorded in the NPE – Supply Planning after passing all the quality checks
- Onboard internal supply nodes into NPE – Capacity Collaboration and NPE – Supply Planning
- Deploy, teach and lead NPE suite of tools to internal and external suppliers
- Understand customer improvement feedback and collaborate with digital product owners to identify opportunities in product roadmaps for improvements
- Be an expert on NPE products and train end users on product application and process flows driving supply capability
In addition to the above, provide leadership to solution development and implementation to any workflow or standard work enhancements identified for continuous improvements.
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Basic Qualifications
Four-year Bachelor’s degree preferably in supply chain, manufacturing, or equivalent experience
8 years of job-related experience, typically in supply chain planning, purchasing or operations, within a large enterprise
Top Candidates will also have
An understanding of Caterpillar’s supply network, Purchasing Practices, and Rough-Cut Capacity Planning.
Be digital minded, to understand and leverage the underlying technologies / digital solutions to drive business process transformation
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact across all levels of the organization from team members to procurement and operations VPs is required.
This position requires strong skills working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, and the ability to influence and resolve differences and issues.
The work environment requires this position to adapt quickly to high velocity and change.
Project and program management, including communication and change management planning is also required.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL
